Amazing and wonderful things are happening in Japan. We wanted to take a moment to share some team news from the group that is already on the ground in Japan, the one that we will be working with. They are currently working to get $1.1 million in pledges to buy a building in Tokyo city. As of the last update we received they had about 90% of the pledges needed. For a building like this in Tokyo this is a good price, only about what the land is worth. It is also a good location and seems like an answer to the prayers of the team. The building will be used for many purposes and will be the future home of the Heart & Soul Cafe which will be used as an outreach to the young adults in the area. There will also be a library and study area, office space, and the 3rd floor will be for Worship space and a Fellowship Hall. The building will also become home to the seminary. This seminary is helping to raise up Japanese pastors! How wonderful is it that there is a seminary in Japan to train and nurture the nationals that God has called into ministry? Having a local building dedicated to this would certainly an answer to many prayers. It is so exciting to see how the ministry and outreach is growing!
Prayer requests - Please pray that the pledges would continue to come in to cover the full amount needed to purchase this building. Also, please pray for Jonathan and I, that the Lord would continue to prepare our hearts and minds for what He has in store for us.
